1997-present: Multimedia Producer, Composer, Ernst & Young, LLP.

Current duties include non-linear video production (Avid, Premiere), music composition for video and live events, arrangement and production, webcast production and encoding, sound design and implementation, graphics for video.

2009-present: Itinerant videographer/editor for Composers Concordance and International Street Cannibals

(pro bono) record and edit concerts for these two organizations.

2007-2011: Composer/Sound Designer, Snidetv

Created music and all aspects of audio production for online viral animation series. Productions included: Goodbye Fiddy C, Obama on the Run, The Paris Hilton Diaries, George Bush Job Interviews.

1990-1997

1996: Articles in Piano and Keyboard Magazine and Electronic Musician.

1996: Composer, Frommer’s Interactive Travel Guides (CD-ROM), MacMillan Digital.

Produced transitional vignettes evocative of various U.S.A. locales. Released spring ’96.

1995: Composer, The War in Vietnam (CD-ROM), MacMillan Digital.

Produced transitions, theme music and sonic plates for historical CD. Released spring ’96.

1995-96: Composer, Audio Director: Sacred and Secular: The Aerial Photography of Marilyn Bridges (CD-ROM), The Voyager Company.

Produced over two hours of musical sequences, which would trigger as the viewer selected various photos. Released June ’96.

1994-96: Composer, Audio Director: Chaos (CD-ROM), NYU/Harper Collins.

Produced sound fx and music for Chaos Theory-based interactive game in the style of Myst. Released May ’96.

Composing, arranging and engineering for various musical projects. Most recent project was “The Music Connection (Silver Burdett & Ginn), a set of over 100 CDs of music for schools (arranging, MIDI engineering, digital editing and premastering of the final cds), distributed nationally.

1989-90: Instructor in Music Humanities, Columbia University.

1989-90: Editor for National Orchestral Association’s “New Music Orchestral Project”.

Assembly and razor-editing sessions of composers’ orchestral works, approx. 40 in all.

1989: Composer,engineer for Mountains & Rivers video documentary (Dharma Publications,1989).

1988-91: Recording Engineer, Columbia Composers.

1986-90: Director of Recording and Audio, Manhattan School of Music.

Managed all facets of recording and audio for the school, including maintenance, equipment purchases, p.a. and recording. Instituted the switch from analog to digital recording system. Installed new recording lines in three concert halls at the school, along with public address systems. Renovated library audio center and classroom units. Logged over 2000 hrs. recording time for music of all types.

1986-88: Composer-Synthesist for Electronic Trio Not Elvis.

Composed and performed electronic compositions.

1985-pres.: Interviews and music performances, WNYC, WKCR.

Various appearances on John Schaefer’s “New Sounds” program on WNYC radio.

1985: Digital editing for Squires Productions.

Performed professional editing services for various projects.

1985: First LP, Asterism commercially released.

1981-86: Recording Engineer, Manhattan School of Music.

Recorded entire yearly repertoire of school concerts and recitals including orchestral, solo, opera, etc. Maintained all school audio equipment, p.a. services,etc.

1979: Choral arranger for Off-Broadway Musical A Matter of Opinion.

1979-80: Dance accompanist, Julliard.

1978: Pianist/Improvisor in acting ensembles “Unexpected Company” and “Play by Play”.

1978-83: Member, Manhattan Improvisation Ensemble.

1977-78: Composer/performer for “Erikinetics Dance Company, NYC

1976: Pianist, James Laguardia’s rock-opera Trilemma.

Compositions and performances of works in all forms (see attached summary).
Piano performance and improv since 1973 (including stints in various rock jazz ensembles).

In addition to the above I have been (ahem) a welder/steel worker (American Pole), carpenter, plastic mold loader (Carr Plastics), and once spent a day putting soil into little pots. Probably the strangest job I’ve ever had was transcribing verbatim the piano doodlings of an untrained ‘composer’ from cassette tapes.
